Day One

LittleTeddy looked around the room in amazement. He had never realised that he had the ability to see before now - in fact, his whole life was a blur until this very moment. He raised his paw to his face and felt the cold surface of a metallic device around his left eye. What was that and why was that there? He tried to wiggle his legs and was unable to detect any signs of movement or sensations of touch. He felt the strong secure sensation of a metallic seat beneath his bottom and realised that the movements he has tried to generate in his legs were, in fact, being replicated in two clockwork limbs beneath him. He tried to make sense of his new world but was fascinated by the flashing lights above his head and the strangest of noises echoing between the turning gears and cogs within his head. "Don't worry, my little beauty," said a soothing young voice, as he hugged his bear, "I'm Gadget and, from now on, you'll 'ave the ability to think and move for yourself"
